This Privacy Policy explains how the CartBoost app ("CartBoost", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you install and use it on your Shopify store. By installing CartBoost, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

CartBoost collects only the minimum information needed to provide its service:

• Store information — your store domain (e.g. example.myshopify.com) and an access token that lets the app work with your store.
• Store owner account details — the name and email address associated with the Shopify account that installs the app, as provided by Shopify.
• Plan information — which CartBoost billing plan (Free, Growth, or Scale) your store is subscribed to.

CartBoost does not collect, store, or process the personal data of your customers (shoppers), such as their names, email addresses, or order details.

How we use information

• To provide and operate the app features (the cart drawer, upsell recommendations, and free-shipping progress bar).
• To manage your subscription and billing plan through Shopify.
• To provide customer support when you contact us.

How information is stored and protected

Your data is stored securely in a hosted database and transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. We take reasonable measures to protect it against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. Information is only handled by the service providers that make the app run:

• Shopify — the platform your store and this app operate on.
• Our hosting provider — used to run the app and store its data.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data only for as long as CartBoost is installed on your store. When you uninstall the app, your store data is deleted. CartBoost also honors Shopify mandatory privacy (GDPR) webhooks, including requests to delete shop and customer data. Since we do not store customer personal data, customer data requests contain no data to return or delete.

Your rights

You may request access to, or deletion of, the information we hold about your store at any time by contacting us at the email below, or by uninstalling the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
